Updates........

Well, we have about a month until the movers come and everyone keeps asking us if we are super busy getting ready for the move.  If you count going out to nice meals and visiting our favorite wineries to stock up on wine then, yes we have been busy!  We are excited about our next adventures in Korea.  It sounds like Joe will have a staff job that lets him fly.  Not all spots in Korea allow you to bring your family, we are super happy that we will be able to stay together.

This month Carlie had to have her tonsils and adenoids removed because of swollen tonsils that were making it difficult for her to breath at night.  It went well but it was certainly not something we would like to experience again anytime soon.  They wouldn't allow us to accompany her to the OR so we had to walk her back to this red line and then say good-bye.  She was so brave - I was a mess but fortunately Joe took the day off of work to take care of us both.  It helped that her "be brave" present was a little walking puppy and the hospital staff let her walk the dog back to the OR.  Carlie took a while to calm down after she woke up - it was difficult because she didn't want us to comfort her.  By the next day she was ready to play soccer in the yard and practice headers.  Her Italian doctor prescibed, "gelato, gelato, gelato" which I'm sure aided her recovery!

Here is a shot of her in her hospital gown before the surgery with Marsha her walking pup....

Thanks for the update! Buy lots of vino! And eat lots of gelato! Wish we were there for all of your Italian "lasts". Hugs to all of you!
