Florence...

We made a quick stop in Florence on our way to Rome.  The highlight of our trip was climbing to the top of the Duomo.  Carlie climbed all 467 stairs completely on her own.  She was so tough about it especially for a 3 year old - there were adults breathing heavy and dropping off to the sides for a break.  At one point when we were super close to the top she turned to Joe to ask for a ride.  We encouraged her to keep going on her own.  We felt a little bad telling our kid to basically "suck it up and keep climbing" but we knew she would just be so proud of herself when she reached the top!!  She was like a little rockstar up there all the other tourists kept cheering her on and commenting on how tough she was - here she is victorious!
