We loved our little England trip! It was super nice to have a foreign language break - we had forgotten how much easier it is to get around when you speak the same language and can read the road signs.
We decided to try and see more than just London so we rented a car and spent a couple of days in the Cotswolds (which consists of all these beautiful old towns spread out amongst the rolling hills of the English countryside). It felt so England - we had tea time every day, there were lots of sheep, beautiful architecture, quaint B &B's and pubs galore complete with local old guys. We stayed at this tiny place it only rented out like 8 rooms and was super cute. There were lots of quiet, older people staying at the same place - Carlie was definitely the only kid! She did really great - she has super manners and sits at the table very well. Until one day she announced at breakfast that she needed to go potty. Joe took her back to the room while I sipped my tea in the very quiet dining room with all the old peeps. Next thing I know Carlie comes running in and annouces with arm motions that she, "Had a poop! A really BIG one!" Needless to say it was one of our proudest moments!
We also really enjoyed London. It was just so big and a bit overwhelming - I heard someone say you could live there for a lifetime and still not feel like you saw everything. It was also like any big city with chain stores and a more worldly feel but we did find a great Spanish place with delicious tapas!! We had fun seeing all the sights on a double decker bus!
Enjoing a cupcake from Harrod's that cupcake was just about as big as her head -yum!

The Park Lane Hotel - we got lucky with our perfectly located London hotel!
