Update on Carlieness

We just got back from a quick, unexpected trip to Minnesota to visit Joe's mom. She is feeling much better and we thank everyone for all the prayers and warm thoughts! Carlie was such a little trooper she did so well with all the traveling and hospital time. We tried to find something fun for her to do everyday to break up her days! I'll post more pictures of our Minnesota time soon.

Carlie stuff:
~The other day she was having a banana for lunch she got about half way through and then took the rest of the peel off. She held up the banana and shouted, "Naked!" and pointed to the peel and said, "Banana clothes!".
~She loves to be naked (like most 2 year olds) and does the Naked Dance every night before her bath.
~After her friends showed her that showers are cool she will now take one and she actually kind of likes them.
~About clothes.....She picks out her own clothes most days and if she doesn't there will be a huge battle. She is so independent! She pretty much HAS to get dressed on her own even if she is getting super frustrated she doesn't want help. She would wear her tutu everyday if I let her.
~And then there is potty training..... She has spent so much time on her little potty with no real "success". She wants to try all the time - one day we sat there for 45 minutes!! She has figured out when she is about toot and has actually gotten her own diaper off in time to sit on the potty for a toot. She then tries to look for "it" in the potty and doesn't seem to understand why she unable to see it! We'll keep trying - like a friend recently said, "At least she'll be potty trained by prom!". Hopefully, the binky will disappear by then too - hopefully!
~She is such a little boss she tries to tell us what to do ALL the time including where to sit, when and what to eat, when it is time to go and on and on..... She took it to a new level when we were in an elevator and she was shouting, "OPEN!" at the door - too funny. She even asked this random stranger to move his bag from this table in the airport so she could set her stuff on the table. She looked so cute when she asked that he just moved it for her - even if he couldn't quite understand all of her words.

I've been working on a little picture schedule of our week so Carlie knows what to expect each day. I included some of the pictures for the schedule from one of our favorite playgroups and a workout class that we go to 3 days a week where the kiddos get to come too - Carlie calls it "Mommy Wobics" (aerobics).

Brodie love!

Sunglasses and an interesting purse choice!

Enjoying the warm weather with her bud Beck!
Playing with her train in her pj's and a tutu!

"Sharing" her umbrella with Bella.

Playgroup!

Mommy Wobics!
Busted! I caught her after she brought her tricycle INside - I guess it was too cold outside and notice her baby needed a ride too.

Somersaults and yoga with Kelsey!
