Carlie was baby doll crazy she is now ball crazy she loves throwing them (usually close to people's heads), chasing them, rolling them and collecting them from all over the house! She signs ball (it looks just like 'more' so we have to consider the context) and "says" it all day! She has also decided that she likes running (way too fast!) which has lead to some pretty ugly bruises across her forehead. She likes to jump - she squats way down and then pops up off the floor by like a whole millimeter yet she is soo proud of herself.
She is a "signing machine" I can't learn the signs fast enough to teach her...she signs gorilla, bear, airplane, please, bird, cat, dog, come, eat, drink, more, all done, light, fan, music/dance, bath, dad, baby, car (sort of funny looking), hair, hear, hug.....the list goes on. She says a few of the words too - sometimes she will just sign them or just say them or do them both together or make some other noise (like groaning when it is food related, Tarzan noise for gorilla and growling for bear).
Speaking of signing, the other night Joe was working late and Carlie kept whining at the front door making the sign for dada and signing more - it about broke my heart! Then today after church she was sitting in my lap signing dad and trying to scoot off of my lap. I couldn't see Joe -he was across the room so I thought she must have been confused by one of the 20 other guys in the room. She then got off my lap, weaved through all the people, found Joe and wrapped herself around his legs awwww!
This first little clip is a ball chase (when she comes into the the dining room you can see her look up and sign light). The second part of the clip she just decided to play a little peek-a-boo :-)
